Dolphin with Toe Raises

Dolphin with Toe Raises

STEPS : Start on your hands and knees in a tabletop position. Your wrists should be directly under your shoulders, and your knees should be directly under your hips.  Lower your forearms to the mat, keeping them parallel to each other and shoulder-width apart. Your palms should be facing down, and your fingers should be spread wide for stability. Tuck your toes under and lift your hips toward the ceiling, coming into Dolphin Pose. Your body should form an inverted V-shape, with your legs and arms straight.  Engage your core and leg muscles. As you exhale, lift your heels off the mat, rising up onto the balls of your feet. Keep your legs active and straight.  Hold the pose for a few breaths, feeling the strength and engagement in your shoulders, core, and legs. You can gently lower your heels back to the mat and repeat the toe raises for a few times if you wish.
