Shark
Sharks are a group of fish with sandpaper-like skin, cartilaginous bones, and don't have a swim-bladder. They are among the most sophisticated and enduring creatures on the planet, pre-dating the dinosaurs by more than 300 million years.There are over 470 species of sharks, ranging from the massive 18m whale shark to the 20cm dwarf lanterns-hark. For the most part, they are quite harmless.Because of its incredibly well-constructed body, and highly efficient hunting and survival skills, it has remained relatively unchanged over these millions of years. The scientific name for sharks is Chondrichthyes elasmobranchs.
