Description
- Bhumispara mudra is a hand gesture, thought to be adopted by Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha) in the moment of his enlightenment.
- As such, this mudra is commonly depicted in statues and carvings of Buddha in meditation.
Follow these steps to try Bhumispara Mudra :
- This mudra is practiced in lotus pose, with the right hand lowered over the right knee, fingertips pointing toward the ground and palm facing inwards.
- The left hand remains in the lap, with the palm open toward the sky.
